Where's
the honor and the glory

Where is the Honor and the Glory? To the men who took our daughter, To the men who took our joy, To the seekers of their honor As they plunder and destroy--- Who beat defenseless women for the mannner of their dress--- Who keep young girls from lessons-- afraid their minds might be the best. Where is your honor and your glory? Where is your strength and speed? You stole a plane and killed more women As you carried out your cowardly deed. She went to work that morning at the breaking of the dawn. She went to work that morning expecting to live on---- to laugh and love -to learn and give to make our lives complete. Where is the honor and the glory in your cowardly feat? You stole a plane and steered it into her place of work-- into her desk, her papers-- Did you wear a drunken smirk? 2. She was small and quite defenseless She loved people of all lands If you had come in peace and honor She would have gladly shook your hands. You stole a plane and tried to kill her, but her spirit will not die You stole a plane and tried to kill her, but she lives with God on high. She guides our thoughts from heaven as you wage this “holy” war. She will guide our thoughts from heaven until terror reigns no more. Our daughter loved to travel she went to many lands She practiced peace and love on earth As God ,our Lord , commands. Do not think that he is pleased with this thing that you have done. Do not hope to find your glory behind the setting sun. For you who chose the path that leads to war and pain. Only God himself can know what you hope to gain. Where is the honor and the glory? Where is the courage great? What type of manhood does it take to bring her to this fate? 3. She did not try to hurt you She would not have caused you pain. Yet you stole a plane and tried to kill her but your evil was in vain. For she will guide our thoughts from heaven She lives in many hearts. You will find no place to hide when God’s own vengence starts. We hear that you have three wives and many children too. do they hide among the caves? Do they live with you? Do they know their father? Do they know what he has done? How he seeks his glory_ beyond the setting sun? Do they know she guides our thoughts from where she lives on high? Do they know you tried to kill her, but her spirit did not die? You have raised a sleeping giant You have stirred a hornets nest You have trod upon the sacred When you tried to kill our best For she will guide our thoughts from heaven And we will answer to her call- We will put an end to terror We will live to see you fall. 4.
There will be no honor for the men who flew that day- No glory for their leaders who ran and hid away. We will search the caves and find them We will bring them to their due She will guide our thoughts from heaven As we cleanse the earth of you. God himself is angry at the evil you have done- He sees in you no honor- No glory you have won. You tried to rule the world with hate You have shed a child’s sweet blood You have cowardly sealed your fate, by crushing a rose- emerging from its bud. God himself rules this world He hears our cries of pain He will avnge our daughter’s death He assures she lives again. 5. For no man can take our daughter No man can take our joy No man will find his honor As he plunders and destroys. For she will guide our thoughts from heaven Where she lives with God above She will guide our thoughts from heaven Until this earth is filled with love.
For love is where the honor lies
the power and glory too
It will drive away all evil
as it conquers you.
This was written in memory of Ann Nicole Nelson of Stanley, North Dakota
by her mother Jenette Nelson. Ann worked on the 104th floor of the North
Tower for Cantor FitzGerald as a Bond Broker. She was at her desk on 9/11/01.
This work is lovingly dedicated to her beloved friends who searched without
ceasing for days on end to find her after the towers went down and to
her cherished co-workers who not only filled her life with joy, but also
comforted and accompanied her as they transitioned to the other side together.
